Strategy and digital development of the largest SVOD across EMEA

The Client

MBC3 is the kids channel of the Middle East Broadcasting Center, focussed on presenting content to 3-13 year olds across the entire MENA region.

The Brief

With the proliferation of digital channels being available worldwide, MBC wanted to launch a SVOD platform for its children's content.

The Approach

An extensive review of site and app analytics, and competitor benchmarking, allowed us to understand the current position of MBC3 in the market. Dubit then conducted primary research across MENA to understand audience behaviours and expectations for MBC3 products, to develop a differentiated strategy for SVOD. UX and UI, mobile responsiveness and content categorisation were key elements of its front end organisation.

The Output

The Work

Our digital studio built out the first version of the Goboz SVOD app which launched March 2018 in the MENA region. In just the first month, Goboz has one million subscribers, and can be accessed on iOS, Android, and Web without risk of seeing adult content. The app is built in React to ensure that any changes to the product are immediately reflected across all devices and web.
